As a DJ, Ike Melchizedek moves between music, art, fashion and culture. His performances range from intimate rooms and underground clubs to festivals, museums, international events, brand activations, exhibitions and large public stages.
Over the years, Ike has performed for diverse audiences in the Netherlands and abroad, as well as at Dutch and Belgian snowboard competitions, cultural institutions, fairs and events for international brands. Whether playing for a few hundred people or a large festival crowd, his approach remains focused on connection, energy and reading the room.
His sound moves freely between Afro House, R&B, Reggae, Dancehall, Baile Funk, Kuduro, Techno, electronic music and the deeper influence of Dub and Roots culture. Rather than staying within one genre, he uses music to create a journey between cultures, generations and communities.
Music is also an extension of Ike's wider artistic practice. As an artist, designer and creative director, he sees DJing as another form of storytelling. His performances bring together sound, identity, heritage, fashion and contemporary culture.
