Concrete Cowboy portrays a modern-day hero: someone who overcomes obstacles within an urban reality. The cowboy is not a symbol of the Wild West, but of contemporary Amsterdam—streetwise, resilient, and self-made.
The portrait depicts Foday, one of my closest friends, and radiates pride, flair, and joy. It speaks to self-confidence, even when your surroundings don't always reflect it.
The red background refers to the first chakra, symbolizing the raw energy of survival, strength, and life force.
